On June 4, 2007, dog lovers gathered at the state capitol in California to protest the 2 year anniversary of SB 861, which allowed breed specific legislation, and to protest AB 1634 in its present form, which is a statewide mandatory spay and neuter bill still pending. Several network news stations arrived to cover the event, and a local dog training group put on "dog dancing" performances.
