Eric G. Young is a rare breed. He's a generous, passionate
attorney who donates much of his time to helping others. Not
only is he CHAKO's strongest legal advocate in the suit
against San Francisco, he's a champion civil rights advocate
and a fighter for the rights of person with disabilities.
Eric G. Young has been practicing law in California since
1997. Mr. Young represents plaintiffs who have suffered
serious personal injuries and violations of civil rights as
well as employees who have been victimized by workplace
discrimination, harassment, violence and retaliation. Mr.
Young represents clients in trial and appellate matters and is
admitted to practice in both California state and federal
courts. Representative samples of Mr. Young's published
appellate work include Delgado v. Trax Bar & Grill
(2005) 36 Cal.4th 224 and Mata v. Mata (2003) 105
Cal.App.4th 1121.
In 2004, Mr. Young authored an article for Thomson West,
the nation's leading publisher of legal books and periodicals,
entitled Cause of Action Against Tavern Owners,
Restaurants, and Similar Businesses for Injuries Caused to
Patrons by the Criminal Acts of Others.
Mr. Young is a member in good standing with the California
State Bar and the American Bar Association, including the
California State Bar's Committe on Legal Professionals with
Disabilities and the ABA's Council of Appellate Lawyers. Mr.
Young is also a member of the San Francisco Trial Lawyers
Association and the Sonoma County Bar Association. Since
1999, Mr. Young has been a lecturer at Sonoma State
University's Attorney Assistant Program and has also taught
appellate advocacy at Golden Gate University School of Law.
