RIVERSIDE -- Two boxer dogs who attacked and injured a mail carrier Wednesday will be held for 10 days and then destroyed.

"The owners have agreed that the dogs should be destroyed," said Linda Holmes, Corning-area dog warden.

The 2-year-old boxers attacked mail carrier Kelly Sullivan of Addison as she attempted to deliver mail to the home of Alice Burlingame and Mike Stanton at 7 Fenderson St. in Riverside.

The attack, which left her with 19 puncture wounds -- seven of which required stitches -- occurred about 12:30 p.m. Wednesday.
