I don't understand at all. Really I dont

All my life I've grown up around all kinds of dogs. My parents have owned Keeshound mixes and my grandparents have always had chows, german shepards even mixed them with shi tzus. I never understood the breed discrimnation until my fiancee and I adopted a rottie/dobie mix and tried renting a house in fl. It wasn't happening. We decided to buy a house so we didnt worry about it and rescued a 5mth old brindle pit. Well the buying of a house fell though and we are ending up having to rent. I live in a major city of Fl and there is only 1 apartment complex in the whole entire city that will allow my breeds and that is because I explained my situation to the real estate agent and told her I would live in a cardboard box before getting rid of my pups. I told her that they are NOT aggressive what so ever and she could meet them if she would like! My rott/dobie mix will wrap his paws around your waste and give you hugs while my pit kisses your cheek and ears. Everyday I look at them and see them happy and see my pit smile and dont understand why they are so misunderstood.

Even by my own grandmother who has owned the chows freaked out when I told her I owned a pit. Ive never disrespected her in my life and I just laughed at her and asked her how she could prejudge my pup when she has owned numerous dogs that are a "aggressive breed" as well. For being only 24 I've never felt so much disgust and putrid for ignorrant people who feel these ways about certain breeds. My parents have a pomeranian that shows aggression anytime you get near him if your not his owner, but he isnt considered an aggressive breed now is he? Its not his fault or my parents, its just in his bloodline somewhere, but my parents dont get rid of him or put him down they work with him and try to get him to not be so aggressive.

I guess where my ranting is going is do we put a child down or an adult down for its parents raising it wrong? Just because Hitler was a sadistic nazi does that mean that anyone from his heritage should be put down? Or what about Iraqis? Should they all be put down because there are some that caused horrible trouble? Why are animals treated differently then humans? Last time I checked they are living breathing creatures just like us. Granted they walk on all 4s drink out of a toilet bowl and eat food that sometimes just is unbearable to even look at, but doesnt mean they feel anyless or care anyless. I would trust my dogs over another human any day. My dogs can sense me feelings and know how to act accordingly! Why should they be punished for doing their jobs?

All I want to know is why are people doing this? Why would they want to? What happened to them to make them think this way or feel this way. Why cant the animal that is able to communicate be tried so they can at least defend them and the ones who cant talk and are defensless.........
