Police said when Capellens son came to her aid, Jackson got out of his car with a butcher knife and stabbed the 18-year-old multiple times. At this point, Capellen's pit bull also jumped in and police said Jackson also stabbed the dog. Capellen told police Jackson then drove off in his 1997 Silver Saturn, 4-door sedan.
Capellen was treated at the scene for her leg injury, her son was taken to the hospital in serious condition and the dog was also taken to a local veterinary hospital. Both the teen and his dog are expected to survive.
